A woman is now dead following a swift water rescue attempt near Swan and the Rillito River.
According to the Tucson Police Department, they responded to a swift water rescue at TFD’s request.
An adult female was located in the wash; despite life-saving efforts, she was declared dead at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing and nothing suspicious was noted.
