A vehicle fire on Interstate 10 in New Mexico near the Arizona state line has closed the Interstate’s westbound lanes and is causing significant backup for travelers heading east from Tucson.
Arizona Department of Transportation advised on its Twitter feed that drivers should expect delays and seek an alternate route. There is no estimated time for the highway to reopen, ADOT said.
